How to find us.

Koufonisia is located 120 nautical miles from Piraeus and 24 from Naxos. It is easily accessible year round. During the tourist season, there are daily ferry boat connections from international airports at Paros, Mykonos and Santorini as well as from the domestic airport on Naxos.

From the port of Piraeus, there are Highspeed boats daily in addition to Blue Star Ferries which sails to Koufonisia 3 days a week and to Naxos twice daily. There are also connections to Koufonisia with the Scopelitis Express, which is the local ferry boat servicing the Small Cyclades. It departs every day except Sundays from both Amorgos and Naxos. During the summer it is also possible to reach Koufonisia from the port of Rafina.

In case of emergency or should you miss your boat from Naxos there is a “taxi” boat service departing from the tiny port of Volakas on its southeast coast which is available upon request. The taxi ride to Volakas is about 50km and it takes about 20minutes to arrive on Koufonisia from Volakas.

Koufonisia is equipped with a helipad as well to receive helicopter landings during daylight. The island’s marina is equipped to host private sail boats and yachts, providing them with electricity, petrol, oil and water.
